"The IPPC curriculum is a powerful tool to assist pediatric health care professionals in their
mission of providing the highest quality of care to children and their families."

Community for Learning and Action

IPPC retreats offer a unique opportunity for nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplin's, child life specialists and allied health professionals to learn side-by-side with parents of children with life threatening conditions.

Since the retreats began in 2006, The Initiative for Pediatric Palliative Care has brought together over 2000 healthcare professionals and family members to learn and work together in intensive, 2 ˝-day educational retreats.

The amazing new partnerships formed at the retreats are beginning to transform how health care with critically ill children is practiced. Retreat participants are starting innovative programs, testing out new approaches to learning, nd engaging in political action on the state and national level.

Award-winning DVD series

The IPPC DVD series offers rich, evocative portrayals of children, families and professional caregivers in a range of palliative care contexs and is a central part of the IPPC curriculum.
